Statistical data on exports and imports of MERCOSUR countries are released by the Foreign Trade Secretariat (SECEX) of the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (MDIC): http://www.alicewebmercosul.mdic.gov.br

The Foreign Trade Secretariat (SECEX) of the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (MDIC) publishes the Mercosur Common Nomenclature (NCM) and the respective Common External Tariff (TEC) at: www.mdic.gov.br > comércio exterior > Tarifa Externa Comum (http://www.desenvolvimento.gov.br//sitio/interna/interna.php?area=5&menu=3361)

By knowing the product's NCM code, it is possible to simulate federal taxes levied on each tariff item in the simulator provided by the Brazilian Federal Revenue Service: http://www4.receita.fazenda.gov.br/simulador

The Ex-tariff regime consists of the temporary reduction of the import tax rate of goods marked as capital goods (BK) and/or IT and telecommunication goods (BIT) at TEC, in cases where there is no national production. The ex-tariff regime is approved by CAMEX.
